Completed for a homeowner in Winston-Salem, NC who wanted to replace existing carpet with waterproof click-lock LVP throughout the main living areas.
This project involved removing existing carpet and installing approximately 1,500 square feet of click-lock luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the home’s main living areas. The result was a more durable, low maintenance floor with a clean, modern appearance.
Completed as part of a flooring and stair renovation project including 14 stairs and one landing.
Stairs are often the most noticeable part of an LVP project. Proper stair installation helps the entire flooring system look complete, and ties the different levels and elements together visually.
Large open areas require careful planning to maintain appearance and performance throughout the installation. Correct plank alignment produces a natural, randomized, and beautiful layout without repetitive seams.
Many flooring issues begin with poor installation details. We focus on the small things that help a floor perform correctly over time, such as undercutting jambs to allow the floor passs beneath, while maintaining proper expansion spacing.
Good LVP installation is about more than laying planks. The finished floor depends on accurate prep, clean cuts, proper expansion spacing, and attention to detail around walls, doors, stairs, and transitions.
